Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund
The Bee & Butterfly Habitat (BBHF) fund approached us as a new organization, needing everything from a name to a complete brand and fundraising help. The first step in creating this new vision was to do some research and see what competitors were doing, while focusing on what made BBHF different thus helping them stand out from the competition. After landing on a new name, we went into logo development and from there created their other brand assets, website, print materials, and a complex trade show display.
To help BBHF stand out from other similar organizations, we decided to go with a very bright and dramatic art direction. The client wanted to make sure that all wildlife benefiting from their habitats were represented equally. In order to achieve that, without simply showing pictures of these animals, we decided to go with a collage effect that could be used as a repeating wallpaper on their website and display materials. The wallpaper was large enough to where different sections could be featured on different materials, keeping the look cohesive without getting too repetitive. This fun and eye-catching pattern, paired with a simple line work logo and new content made for a big impact for the BBHF launch. To date, nearly $3.6 million in single and multi-year commitments have been made since 2017.

After the branding was established, we started on their website. The purpose of the Bee & Butterfly Habitat Fund website was to be educational and inspirational. We decided to go with many high-impact visuals, full screen images, video imbeds and fun animation to keep the viewer engaged. A donate now banner follows you at the bottom of the site throughout the pages, making it easy for BBHF to collect donations online.
